OK so everyone on pinterest appears to be dying eggs for Easter so I thought me a lovely girl would try. I had brown hen eggs and beetroot in my house this morning so I popped the egg and some choppsd up beetroot in a little muslin and boiled with vinegar for about 15 mins. One egg Lovely girl stuck stars on. We then fished them out and let them cool – them peeled off the stickers. They look cute and were having them for lunch tomorrow!!

Easter Egg Hunt
Well. Happy Easter. Its been super busy in the makiedo house. We’ve made simnel cake, a dolly carrier ( easter pressie-more details to follow) and most fun-ly our eggs and basket for our easter egg hunt.
We used 6 eggs. To blow the eggs pin hole both ends, wiggle your pin around (to break the yoke) then blow! You can always hard boil them instead! ![]()
When theyre all done give them a little wash a dry then get out youre paints, Eden also added glitter and shapes! Paint as bright as possible to catch little ones eye when the eggs are hidden in the garden. This was such a lovely family activity to do on easter saturday, with lovely hubbie and all sat round our table thinking about Easter day!
So when theyre painted leave overnight to dry.
Then for the basket, depending how old the baby they could help, get a bit of large card, cut a long strip for the handle – then fold into thirds, down the longest lenght, then fold over both ends (creating nine squares) bring the sides up, to fold the corner squares at a 45 degree angle, glue all the bits that need glueing. If that makes no sense Google Easter basket template for full instructables!
Then hid youre eggs, get youre baby and basket and go!
Happy days.
