Wicker hoops

If you’ve got some wicker left over from over projects… These simple little hoops are a great compliment to the log fractions and astro turf fields. Great for stacking one inside the other, they form a big solid circle when done: or for hopping ponys (or people) in and out of. Althernatively if your baby’s a thrower they can practice throwing objects into the bigger one from different ranges.

To make simply soak the willow, then twist round and round into a hoop.

Ribbon Wands

Woohoo I love leftovers. Not food leftovers, but makiedo over’s. They afford me the privilege of making new projects for free. These ribbon wands are just such a little project. They are really cute, little willow hoops and long ribbon tails and she LOVES swinging round and round with them, particularly swooshing one while trying to wear the other like a hat. Lucky in my makiedo leftovers I have most of a bundle of willow and obviously a ton of ribbon. Making willow projects is simple – the whole bundle cost me about 22 quid ages ago and it takes about 2 hours in cold water to be workable. So you just soak it then twist, twist, twist into these little hoops. Then just tie on any ribbons you have hanging around!
